Mission

The Edmonton Filipino Methodist Church was born through the obedience of the believers in answering the call of God to reach out for the people as mandated by God in Matthew 28: 18 -20 which says,

Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. 19 Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”

The Edmonton Filipino Methodist Church consists of Filipino Methodists coming to Canada in the late 90s throughout the 20s in waves of economic diaspora.

As is common to Filipino migrants, there was a longing for us to look for a church that fosters common cultural values and traditions we all grew up in - the United Methodist Church.
